Biola Alabi is a globally recognised business strategist and media executive with over two decades of Pan-African and international experience spanning broadcast television, venture capital, digital media, and early-stage technology. She has built a reputation for driving innovation, forging high-impact

partnerships, and delivering transformative growth across consumer goods, entertainment, and emerging markets.

Biola currently serves on several influential boards, including Unilever Nigeria Plc (Audit Committee), Big Cabal Media (Chairwoman), Akili Children Television Network (Kenya), Lagos Angel Network (Deputy Chair), and the FP Capital Investment Committee. She is also a member of the Strategy Board at Henley Business School, University of Reading, UK, and a Non-Executive Director at Lagos Airport Hotel, a subsidiary of Odu’a Investments.

As Founder of Biola Alabi Media, she has led strategic consulting initiatives across pay television, digital streaming, and broadcast content development, licensing over 5,000 hours of programming and launching market-entry strategies across West Africa. Her executive leadership at DSTV/MNET saw the creation of Africa Magic’s indigenous channels and award-winning programs, significantly expanding African storytelling and talent development.

Biola’s venture capital experience includes roles as General Partner at Acasia Ventures and Atika Ventures, where she has backed over 25 early-stage startups across Africa, with a focus on female-led innovation in fintech, blockchain, and consumer technology. She is currently a Venture Studio Partner at DELTA40, investing in climate tech, agriculture, and financial inclusion across the continent.

Her early career includes pivotal roles at Sesame Workshop in New York, where she led international strategy and outreach across Africa and Asia, securing multimillion-dollar funding and delivering impactful educational programming.

Biola holds a BSc in Public & Community Health from the University of Cincinnati and is a Yale World Fellow. She has completed executive programs at Harvard and Oxford.
