All You Will Need to Open an Account

As an individual settlor, you will need the following;

  1. Account opening form, duly filled and signed (all relevant fields must be completed).
  2. One (1) clear passport-size photograph with the settlor’s name inscribed on the reverse side.
  3. The client’s Sighted, Notarised, or Certified copy of a means of identification (proof of identity).
  4. Sighted, Notarised, or Certified copy of the client’s proof of residential address/Letter of introduction from the relevant Diplomatic Mission/International Organisation establishing the potential client’s accredited status (where applicable).
  5. A Sighted, Notarised, or Certified copy of a valid residence residency permit for resident non-Nigerian clients.
  6. For Investment on behalf of a Minor, the Sighted, Notarised or Certified copy of the Minor’s Birth Certificate or Age Declaration.

If you are looking to open a joint account, you will need the following;

  1. Account opening form, duly filled and signed by each settlor (all relevant fields must be completed).
  2. One (1) clear passport-size photograph of each client with respective names inscribed on the reverse side.
  3. Each settlor’s Sighted, Notarised, or Certified copy of a means of identification (proof of identity).
  4. Sighted, Notarised, or Certified copy of the client’s proof of residential address/Letter of introduction from the relevant Diplomatic Mission/International Organisation establishing the potential client’s accredited status (where applicable).
  5. A Sighted, Notarised, or Certified copy of a valid residence residency permit for resident non-Nigerian clients.
  6. For Investment on behalf of a Minor, the Sighted, Notarised or Certified copy of the Minor’s Birth Certificate or Age Declaration.

As a corporate/institutional clients, the following would be required;

  1. Account opening form, duly filled and signed (all relevant fields must be completed).
  2. Specimen signature card(s), duly filled and signed, when applicable Board or Partnership Resolution / Mandate letter / Approval letter (for Public Sector Organisations).
  3. Each signatory must have two (2) clear passport-size pictures with their names inscribed on the back.
  4. A Sighted, Notarised or Certified copy of the Certificate of Registration.
  5. A Sighted, Notarised or Certified copy of the Memorandum & Articles of Association (MEMART) or its equivalent, Partnership Deed (Partnership constitution), the club, society, association, or charity’s constitution or its equivalent.
  6. A copy of the enabling Act/Decree in its entirety (where applicable).
  7. The regulatory or supervisory license to operate, if any, Sighted, Notarised, or Certified.
  8. The Sighted, Notarised, or Certified copy of the Shareholders’ Particulars or a comparable document.
  9. The Sighted, Notarised, or Certified copy of the Directors’ Particulars or a similar document.
  10. Sighted, Notarised, or Certified copy of the company’s proof of registered address.
  11. All signatories to the account, at least two (2) Directors, and each individual shareholder with at least 5% stake, or partner as appropriate, must provide a Sighted, Notarised, or Certified copy of their means of identity and proof of address.
