Abimbola Ajinibi

Abimbola Ajinibi is a seasoned financial services professional with over 27 years of diverse experience spanning across Trust Services, Estate Planning, Private Banking/Wealth Management, Credit & Marketing, Relationship Management, and Financial Advisory. He currently serves as the Regional Head North at First Trustees, where he leads the business development team in the Region, delivering bespoke solutions to Very High-Net-Worth Individuals (VHNWIs).

Bimbo has played a pivotal role in several high-impact financial initiatives, including contributions to strategic projects at corporate, subnational, and sovereign levels. Notably, he was instrumental in the execution of the N1 trillion FGN Sovereign Sukuk, showcasing his capability in complex and large-scale financial operations.

His academic credentials include a Second-Class Upper Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Ibadan and a Master of Science in International Management from the prestigious University of London. Prior to joining First Trustees, he built a strong foundation in banking through roles at United Bank for Africa Plc and Fountain Trust Bank Plc, where he gained robust experience across retail, commercial, and corporate banking.

Bimbo has further honed his leadership and strategic capabilities through executive education at prestigious institutions, including Harvard University, MIT Sloan School of Management, and Singapore Management University, with a focus on Leadership, Negotiation, and Governance.

A respected public analyst and advocate for national development, Bimbo is deeply passionate about building a better Nigeria. Outside of work, he is an avid golfer and enjoys the strategic and social aspects of the sport.
